Yes, I would say so. I fell out of love with this design not long after posting it. Figuring out the quirks and errors were what kept me interested.
Unfortunately, this design has already gone on the wayside. I do still like the tree and plan on keeping it involved in some way. It is one of my favorite creations.
This design is missing something aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Look at outofprint, proccy, Mike Industries, and kottke. They have all accomplished one thing I haven't yet. Beauty through simplicity, although i would argue, my personal link, Rick Howard, over there passes my own test.
I have been working on something else (about 10 something elses) and have something I think I can enjoy. Really, who wants to post and read things on a page they don't like.
I do want to post one site that isn't simple yet aesthetically pleasing and that is triplux. I always thought i had too much content to worry about and nowhere to fit it. Well he has more content than I do and has created an almost flawless layout for it.
