Many people probably have no idea who he is. Pat Tillman was making millions playing football until Sept 11. He gave up his NFL contract to join the US Army Rangers. Today, he died fighting in Afghanistan.
I never knew the guy, met the guy or even saw the guy. Yet I respect him for giving up money for freedom, one of the few people who would do such a thing, especially with the limelight you can get playing in the NFL. He just wanted to protect our freedoms and help get just for that fateful day. He was 27.
